Clearinghouse, Research Center Announce New Board Members

HERNDON, VA (June 23, 2017) – The National Student Clearinghouse and the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center announced today new members to each of their board of directors for the 2017-2018 term.

In addition, the Clearinghouse’s board elected Dr. Steven Brooks, Executive Director (retired), North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority, as Chairperson of the board; and Natalie Krawitz, (retired) University of Missouri System, Educational Institutions, as Vice Chairperson of the board. The Research Center’s board selected Dr. Monty Sullivan, System President, Louisiana Community and Technical College System, as Chairperson of the board; and Michael Collins, Vice President, Building Educational Pathways, Jobs for the Future, as Vice Chairperson of the board.

“The National Student Clearinghouse board of directors is delighted to welcome our new members, each of whom possesses the technical expertise, educational experience, and commitment to the fair and secure collection and use of student data that has been the hallmark of the Clearinghouse since its inception,” said Dr. Steven Brooks, Chairperson of the board, National Student Clearinghouse. “Our board is strengthened by their addition, and we are confident that these new members will enhance our mission as the nation’s trusted source for student data and research.”

The new Clearinghouse board members are:

Dr. Archie Cubarrubia, Vice Provost, Institutional Effectiveness, Miami Dade College

Vincent Grimard, Chief Security Officer, Nelnet Inc.

Mary Kennard, Vice President and General Counsel, American University

Patrick Perry, Chief Information Officer, California State University

The new Research Center board members are:

Dr. Sean “Jack” P. Buckley, Senior Vice President, American Institutes for Research

Dr. Archie Cubarrubia, Vice Provost, Institutional Effectiveness, Miami Dade College, who also serves on the Clearinghouse board

Dr. A. Hope Williams, President, North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities
