National Student Clearinghouse Names Jonell Sanchez as Vice President of Education Services

Jonell SanchezHERNDON, VA, March 17, 2016 — The National Student Clearinghouse announced today Jonell Sanchez as Vice President of Education Services, a newly created position reporting to the Clearinghouse’s Chief Operating Officer Tracie MacMahon. His appointment is effective March 21.

Mr. Sanchez will provide oversight, direction, and leadership in the following four administrative areas: Higher Education and K-12 Development and Client Management; Client Services; Transcript Services SIS Strategy and Integration; and StudentTracker® Research Services. While establishing the creative strategy for Education Services, he will advance the strong reputation of the Clearinghouse and work in close partnership with the education community, industry, and other third parties throughout the United States and the globe to anticipate and implement new services to benefit the K-20 community.

He formerly served as the Vice President, Global Education, Employability and Career Services at Pearson-Global and prior to this role, Sanchez was at the College Board as Senior Director of Academic Initiatives and Program Development. In both organizations, he was responsible for company-wide programs and institutional transformations affecting higher education and other institutions across the world. He also has held leadership positions at large and small higher education institutions.

“Because of my more than 20 years of experience in education and technology in K-12 and higher education across 100 countries, I am very excited about the opportunity to work closely with the Clearinghouse’s executives, staff and external clients to significantly grow the Clearinghouse’s mission,” said Sanchez. “I am committed to creating a high-performing leadership and management team in the newly-constructed Education Services division while enhancing relationships with the K-12 and higher education community, state and national organizations, and critical stakeholders. During my first week on the job while at the AACRAO Annual Meeting in Phoenix, I look forward to speaking with many of our higher education constituents from throughout the nation and the world.”

Sanchez holds a master’s in international education from New York University; a bachelor’s in political science and history from Rutgers University; and a Certificate in Public Policy from the Rutgers University Eagleton Institute of Politics. In addition, he serves on numerous boards and professional organizations to advance U.S. and global education.
