National Student Clearinghouse Selects Randy Strother as Chief Enterprise Architect
HERNDON, VA (Jan. 11, 2017) – The National Student Clearinghouse announced today Randy Strother as Chief Enterprise Architect, a newly created position and senior member of the Information Technology leadership team, reporting directly to Vice President & Chief Information Officer Doug Falk.
Mr. Strother is responsible for IT architecture across the enterprise while working closely with the CIO, providing overall direction, guidance, definition, and facilitation for the development of current and future computing architectures required to meet the Clearinghouse’s goals and strategic vision.
For the last 15 years, he has been a key member of The College Board’s IT Senior Leadership Team serving as the organization’s chief technology architect accountable for the technology strategy and architecture function supporting a $120 million IT operation and technology portfolio of more than 300 IT systems, applications, and services.
“Randy brings a broad range of technology and business experience supporting both small startups and Fortune 500 enterprises, including GEICO Insurance, Sallie Mae, Chase Manhattan, the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, and others, in implementing effective solutions,” said Vice President & Chief Information Officer Doug Falk. “While with The College Board, he led staff in the multi-year, technology redesign of the SAT® to better serve the needs of U.S. education and improve student readiness for college and career success for more than seven million students each year. I am excited to have Randy work with me and my colleagues to benefit students and the education community throughout the nation.”
Mr. Strother has a master’s in management of information technology from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce, and a bachelor’s in computer and information systems from Strayer University.
