NJIT, NJ Community Colleges and National Student Clearinghouse Collaborate to Help Students Earn Degrees Through Reverse Transfer
New Jersey Institute of Technology and National Student Clearinghouse reverse transfer initiative will help thousands of students earn associate degrees.
Fewer students are transferring from community colleges to four-year colleges and universities, according to a new Signature Report from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center.
Our Signature Report 11, “Time to Degree: A National View of the Time Enrolled and Elapsed for Associate and Bachelor’s Degree Earners,” examines time to degree for students who earned an associate or bachelor’s degree in 2014-15.
According to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center’s annual Undergraduate Degree Earner’s Report, the number of graduates with prior awards grew by 12.4 percent from the 2011-12 to 2014-15 academic year, while the number of first-time graduates – students earning their first undergraduate degree – fell 2.6 percent.
