Here’s a summary of the webinar:
Who is the Clearinghouse?
Founded 25 years ago by the higher education community, the National Student Clearinghouse® relieves the administrative burdens and costs related to student data reporting and exchange. In addition, the National Student Clearinghouse® Research Center™ informs practitioners and policymakers throughout the country about student educational pathways to improve student outcomes.
The services we offer are provided at the request of our participating institutions to enable them to better serve their students. Our work — reliable, trusted, and secure — provides numerous time and cost-saving benefits to students, schools, administrators, and requestors.
What does the Clearinghouse do?
The Clearinghouse serves as a trusted agent to our participating institutions, which have approached us through the years to expand our services to help them meet their growing compliance, administrative, student access, accountability, and analytical needs.
Our services are designed to facilitate compliance with FERPA, The Higher Education Act, and other applicable laws.
We also provide verification and reporting services to most of the postsecondary institutions in the United States and online enrollment reporting for U.S. students to hundreds of postsecondary institutions. In addition, the Clearinghouse is the largest provider of electronic student record exchanges and postsecondary transcript ordering services in the nation.
Who do we work with?
We also work with students and alumni so that they can order transcripts online, track their student loans, obtain verification of their in-school status, and more. Thousands of employers, recruiters, background research firms and others nationwide depend on the Clearinghouse for online academic verifications.
Furthermore, the education finance industry works with the Clearinghouse to receive student borrower data, educational organizations use us for research data, and high schools use us for graduation and research data.
Learn more about the reliable, trusted and secure services we provide to thousands of organizations supporting students and educational institutions.
