Research Center to Release 2019 Some College, No Degree Report
On October 30 from 9:30 am to 11 am, the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center will host an in-depth discussion on its newest report, Some College, No Degree: 2019 Snapshot for the Nation and 50 States, at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. The report will be released at the event.
The report describes today’s “Some College, No Degree” students and provides a five-year follow up on the re-enrollment and completions outcomes of those identified in the first report, released in 2014.
Elissa Nadworny, who covers higher education and college access for NPR, will moderate the discussion. Featured speakers and panelists include:
- Mikyung Ryu, Director, Research Publications, National Student Clearinghouse Research Center
- Sally Johnstone, President, National Center for Higher Education Management Systems
- Hadass Sheffer, President, The Graduate! Network
- Courtney Brown, Vice President of Strategic Impact, Lumina Foundation
- Leanne Davis, Assistant Director of Applied Research, Institute for Higher Education Policy
During the event, panelists will discuss the implications of the report on their work helping states and institutions raise the attainment levels of this important population. They will also examine this population’s demographic characteristics and education pathways in order to identify which students are most likely to return and complete.
The report, Some College, No Degree: 2019 Snapshot for the Nation and 50 States, will be available on our Research Center website on Wednesday, October 30.
