Q: What Is the Difference between Standard and Non-Standard Files?

A: Standard is the term that all students are required to attend in order to be considered enrolled. The Clearinghouse standard file types are:

  • First of Term
  • Subsequent of Term

The standard report flag for these files types should be set to “Y

Non-Standard is a term that students are not required to attend. The Clearinghouse non-standard files types are:

  • Summer-First
  • Summer Subsequent
  • Non-Compulsory and Non-Summer (generally used to report special terms, such as “January term” or “May semester”)
  • Early Registration
  • Graduate Only

The standard report flag for these file types should be set to “N”
