Transcript Ordering June 2019 Release Notes

Jul 1, 2019 | Transcript Ordering

The National Student Clearinghouse is pleased to present the Transcript Ordering June 2019 release, which provides the following significant user experience improvements.

Transcript Order Status Enhancements

– Resend Transcript Link and Access Code Emails

The student can now resend the Electronic PDF transcript link and access code emails to their recipient(s). When the requestor logs into the Transcript Order Status module and accesses the Order Details screen for a specific recipient, they are presented with two buttons that they can use to resend the emails to the recipient. This enhancement furthers the Transcript Order Status module as a self-service tool for the requestors.

– Display Country Name

Whenever a student enters a non-US country in the requestor or recipient address section, the full country name is displayed in the Transcript Order Status module. In order to avoid confusing students about what the country code means, we will now display the full country name whenever an address appears.

– School Logo Enlarged

For schools that display their logos on the transcript pages, we have increased the size in the Transcript Order Status module to make school logos easier to read, especially on mobile devices.

Removal of Dashes from Student ID

Requestors can no longer enter dashes into the student ID field on the personal information page. This was done to alleviate student record matching issues for fully automated FASTEST schools.

Paper Consent Instructions for iPhone and iPad Users

Instructions on how to download the consent form will be displayed to requestors who place orders via their iPhone or iPad and choose the paper consent form option. The instructions will only appear if the user is ordering using one of these devices.

Survey Added to Order Confirmation Email

In order to receive requestor feedback on how to further improve our Transcript Services, we have added a survey to the Order Confirmation email. The survey asks users to respond to three short questions and rate their ordering experience.

Other Enhancements

  • The school name has been added to the Currently Enrolled question to help further clarify for requestors the school from which they are ordering a transcript. This was done to help eliminate student confusion when there are additional questions that sound similar on the same ordering section.
  • International Electronic Exchange schools and educational organizations will now be shown as a recipient on the ordering site’s drop-down menu. Whenever the student selects “International” as the country, all entities that are active with the service will display.

If you are experiencing issues with your service, you can check on the availability of our online system on the Service Availability Status page.
